Here are some tips. </p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjQK_R9THaTAVox1Esa5Nqf6iswtYzZsV0Nie9nNCjUP-QUZmoJ7yqTDJdjr7_aWMDsiwReUoOP9e72t5ZLElyStaDBRZjsuKj76WsLLNW2VqATv-RFddqWlffEc2EiCdWnd92hcbldTJHB0b7LSqz2VPRpcNU8Dc9pyyoG2mtuPxT8U3gLI7HU1pI/s942/236A582B-4A75-40FE-86C7-62A23962EB2F.png" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="789" data-original-width="942" height="268" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjQK_R9THaTAVox1Esa5Nqf6iswtYzZsV0Nie9nNCjUP-QUZmoJ7yqTDJdjr7_aWMDsiwReUoOP9e72t5ZLElyStaDBRZjsuKj76WsLLNW2VqATv-RFddqWlffEc2EiCdWnd92hcbldTJHB0b7LSqz2VPRpcNU8Dc9pyyoG2mtuPxT8U3gLI7HU1pI/s320/236A582B-4A75-40FE-86C7-62A23962EB2F.png" width="320" /></a></div><p>1. Be ready to sleep extra early the day before and wake up extra early on your wedding day. Find ways to sleep on time — oils work for me. (And yes, you can message me about these helpful oils.) You need rest because your wedding day will demand a lot from you. You don’t want to look half asleep in half your photos and video footage because you lost your energy midway. Plus sometimes make up doesn’t adhere well to the skin of someone who didn’t sleep much. </p><p>2. Have what would help you and your preps mates (family, ento, suppliers) to stay awake in your prep room & your bridal emergency bag — food, coffee, mints, etc. In terms of meals, pls have a delivery service that can bring breakfast as early as needed. Don’t forget the suppliers’ lunch as well since you’ll all be at the reception that time. </p><p>3. Choose colors that won’t cause the people to feel warm — have them wear colors that won’t absorb heat. Dark colors tend to keep the heat in. Since lots of shots will be taken under the sun — the couple + entourage — good idea to go for colors that won’t make them feel even warmer than how it really is. </p><p>4. Have heavy cocktail time food to tide the guests over because usually lunch gets served late due to the need for a post nuptial shoot and retouch. This is especially true for weddings happening 10am onwards. For those happening at 9am, there’s a chance lunch won’t feel too late but prepare heavy cocktails as well. You don't want people to feel H-ANGRY while waiting. Usual wait time is 1.5 to 2 hours. (Besides, for us Filipinos, it’s better to hear that people got so full during our wedding than to hear them complain that they were hungry for the most part and couldn’t eat during the buffet part because of hyperacidity or whatever other condition.) </p><p>Do not serve only nuts and chips only during their wait time. Some will make you feel how dismayed they are because they won’t clap and cheer during your grand entrance. </p><p>5. Avoid having a long program, unless you’re having a really intimate wedding with people who are super close to you. The lunch crowd is more impatient perhaps due to lack of sleep, so avoid having too many messages, too many games, too many videos. (Oh and do not forego the led wall if your venue has a lot of windows without black out curtains. Don’t worry about the extra expense — you’ll get to see your photos and video in vivid colors + you don’t really need to spend much for alcoholic drinks during morning weddings.) </p><p>Hope these tips will help you decide and prepare for your morning wedding. That is the Question.<p style="text-align: justify;"></p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;">Imagine doing an ento shoot — maskless — with one of your girls or boys as an asymptomatic carrier. Imagine how you will later on, after being exposed, have photos — maskless — — with your parents who have comorbidities. Imagine how you and the rest of the entourage will later on have photos with others — maskless. Imagine how later on they will go home to their families already carrying unwanted “passengers”. </div><p></p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgThht6LQwPryb4cgzR7ehLQEV1KnQ5iYbbn0nqxM_4ArC7Pv_CXsGsBhRs8ztGae9hCGzEZBrCoTAJCc0xtiOlLXyj1kVGBGw_evFKPN4UFQW88KttLo2bEaWnY53_hVpnsz9eHgc0qHY/s1080/E1D11D16-84F1-473B-8BCA-8AFB5817973A.png" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1080" data-original-width="1080" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgThht6LQwPryb4cgzR7ehLQEV1KnQ5iYbbn0nqxM_4ArC7Pv_CXsGsBhRs8ztGae9hCGzEZBrCoTAJCc0xtiOlLXyj1kVGBGw_evFKPN4UFQW88KttLo2bEaWnY53_hVpnsz9eHgc0qHY/s320/E1D11D16-84F1-473B-8BCA-8AFB5817973A.png" width="320" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><span style="text-align: left;"><br /></span></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;"><span style="text-align: left;">The antigen test is an additional layer of protection. No choice for the bride, the groom, their family members, and entourage, but to remove their masks during make up and the shoot — ok, for the later, there is a choice but most of the time the couple wishes to have memories of their big day sans covid; thus, the request to remove masks just for quick photo or video opportunities. Sometimes they even forget the new social norms & hug or beso upon seeing each other. At least with an antigen test the day before, they get to weed out those who could be sources of the virus. There are providers who send kits and do the tests via video calls. Of course, it can also happen that their virus load won’t show up yet depending on days after exposure, but at least the couple gets to lessen that chance with an antigen test the day before. </span></div><p style="text-align: justify;">For suppliers, this will give them a chance to change particular team members who tested positive — without exposing others during transport. This will also prevent anyone positive from the hair and make up team from being in close contact with anyone maskless and vice versa. This is really difficult because theirs is the closest contact with all those who need make up and hair. Although the artists are wearing protection, they will still be facing people who are maskless. </p><p style="text-align: justify;"><span style="text-align: left;">So is the extra expense worth it? You decide. </span></p><p style="text-align: justify;">Note: It helps everyone if all people present are fully vaccinated because then the chance of the virus affecting one severely gets diminished. The vaccine though is not a replacement for wearing masks, social distancing, and applying other safety protocols. </p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhjvrO3n6pnxJgGxmR4VB1s0WeTwG5C7q2Ao31BGYZeEy5BbjFhil0zcTG-4xKaXTAf928r6GjEjxhqJ8Mm0QzqX6Iu3WJV0OGAhUBecD_o32jsnsnaf6TGLW7SPoegHFg4rt9Fw4z0Nsk/s1080/864263A1-5945-4070-B3F7-DD185377C710.png" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em; text-align: center;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1080" data-original-width="1080" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhjvrO3n6pnxJgGxmR4VB1s0WeTwG5C7q2Ao31BGYZeEy5BbjFhil0zcTG-4xKaXTAf928r6GjEjxhqJ8Mm0QzqX6Iu3WJV0OGAhUBecD_o32jsnsnaf6TGLW7SPoegHFg4rt9Fw4z0Nsk/s320/864263A1-5945-4070-B3F7-DD185377C710.png" width="320" /></a></div><p style="text-align: justify;"></p><p>#theweddingtipsheet #weddingplanner #darlenetansalazarweddingemcee #weddinghost </p>Perfect 10 Weddingshttp://www.blogger.com/profile/09383391520376725464noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5037635780211268008.post-88271833819522432202021-08-16T08:19:00.000+08:002021-08-16T08:19:55.829+08:00Is moving your date the answer? <p>Covid 19 has been with us for almost a year and a half already. Based on pronouncements of those in the know, it will persist and mutate for as long as there are lots of unvaccinated individuals. Countries have to move fast to vaccinate, populations have to accept the need, etc. These basically mean that there are lots of factors we can’t control in the fight against covid. But we can focus on those that we can like strengthening our immune systems, getting vaccinated, observing safety protocols, praying, etc.</p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjDUrUg5cuHGHrLSAzPOVAwBmPbEDVaK1x7qay9_wFe3I2DpRv45MTAbfN433LvXsUwLw329VkuX9qVGMse-xbmYpdXMyJtHPxIvK1revQY-pc4K-02UC_lJ_N4a8LoNrH6fUxe7cyVdj0/s1080/BA0671B5-CF03-4707-AE8E-D0EDD9445499.png" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1080" data-original-width="1080" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjDUrUg5cuHGHrLSAzPOVAwBmPbEDVaK1x7qay9_wFe3I2DpRv45MTAbfN433LvXsUwLw329VkuX9qVGMse-xbmYpdXMyJtHPxIvK1revQY-pc4K-02UC_lJ_N4a8LoNrH6fUxe7cyVdj0/s320/BA0671B5-CF03-4707-AE8E-D0EDD9445499.png" width="320" /></a></div><p>Based on experiences of those who decided on march, april, may, and august weddings last year and moved to the same months this year, moving dates did not ensure their weddings. They still got affected by surges, ecq pronouncements, etc. </p><p>Believe me… We understand your fears, you may have comorbidities or family members who are susceptible. But you know moving and moving your date will not ensure that covid will not be around anymore, that another calamity is not waiting to happen. Life has so many challenges. We just have to find ways to deal with them. </p><p>If you’re afraid, have nice food packs to be distributed after the short program. That way, no one is allowed to remove his or her mask. Your post nup will be after the short program that consists of only the important parts (around 45 mins tops right after the ceremony). Or you can have a first look so all couple shots are done prior to the ceremony. </p><p>If you want people to eat in the venue, get a big venue so social distancing can be ensured. Have those who are highly susceptible join via online means. These are suggestions, of course, everything depends on your personal preferences. </p><p>Now… decision time. </p><p>Ask yourself: If Covid will be around all of next year, can you handle it? If not, then don’t move to a definite 2022 date yet. Ask your suppliers if the reservation fees you gave can be put on hold first. Then just be prepared for the new rates when you decide to push through — when covid is finally just a memory. </p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi7sbN-iVboZ7PN3L5-b_1ofhvhoJemZ07IFhYGf_mX1BqorwfIKx5a0aZPqnNDPfQMuyBiU3EWJQNVjdFiyDc1EetzdJOxPZs_Da_D3_EXoP5TeRQibYKnV6tXT390emzB7GiJtKXU0DM/s1080/8045DCB2-9D89-4D8C-88BC-E2E4A86D519C.png" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1080" data-original-width="1080" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi7sbN-iVboZ7PN3L5-b_1ofhvhoJemZ07IFhYGf_mX1BqorwfIKx5a0aZPqnNDPfQMuyBiU3EWJQNVjdFiyDc1EetzdJOxPZs_Da_D3_EXoP5TeRQibYKnV6tXT390emzB7GiJtKXU0DM/s320/8045DCB2-9D89-4D8C-88BC-E2E4A86D519C.png" width="320" /></a></div><p>This is better than moving to a definite date then moving again when the definite date is close by and you’re still feeling scared about the situation. The latter deprives other couples of the services of the suppliers who are being held by your reservation. </p><p>{Note: this does not apply to those who need to move because of govt lockdown declarations.} </p><p>#theweddingtipsheet #weddingplanner #darlenetansalazarweddingemcee #weddinghost </p><p><br /></p><p><br /></p><p></p>Perfect 10 Weddingshttp://www.blogger.com/profile/09383391520376725464noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5037635780211268008.post-32573010543964128012021-08-11T10:02:00.002+08:002021-08-11T10:03:23.677+08:00Should you inform your parents regarding your wedding plans? <p>In our culture, we have what is called the pamamanhikan. It is a gathering wherein both sides are informed of wedding plans. Sometimes this can’t happen right away because of various reasons — living abroad, covid, parents are thought to be unsupportive, etc. </p><p>Parents, being who they are, often want to know what is going on in their children’s lives — it doesn’t matter whether the son/daughter is 2 or 32. They would still like to be informed. </p><p>However, as a wedding planner, I do understand how often parents — despite trying to help — affect wedding plans and mold them according to certain norms they believe in. Example: you would like to have an intimate wedding with people you truly know while your parents want to invite a lot more — even those who are unknown to you. Or they want to have certain famous people as godparents even if you’d rather keep the list focused on those you can talk to anytime. Then the clash happens.</p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEii1IKhqiLGDBhfY31-PX7wCw782yR7OzeecYIYQXyyUxcaH_OS7Wd1yoe_7Gb7ZpQaHoagyve28vUU5crDK1iURK2knfM_rxkTb5IFG8b9vt-qjLxHm3hvRYG9qP8IsuykIBzKRbd8VE4/s1080/D1824BBA-B107-4FE1-90CB-010A48ABAC0E.png" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1080" data-original-width="1080" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEii1IKhqiLGDBhfY31-PX7wCw782yR7OzeecYIYQXyyUxcaH_OS7Wd1yoe_7Gb7ZpQaHoagyve28vUU5crDK1iURK2knfM_rxkTb5IFG8b9vt-qjLxHm3hvRYG9qP8IsuykIBzKRbd8VE4/s320/D1824BBA-B107-4FE1-90CB-010A48ABAC0E.png" width="320" /></a></div><br /><p><br /></p><p>If you would rather not have your parents involved in the planning phase, talk to them nicely that you feel this is your first big project as a couple so you would rather focus on things you really like. However, if you will do this, make sure you do not need any form of support from your parents. If you will ask for money or service/assistance in the form of handling paper work, etc., then you better be ready to also listen to their suggestions. </p><p>To be fair, not all parental suggestions will clash with your plans so it’s a good idea to listen. That way, they won’t have resentments days leading up to and on the day of your wedding. It’s hard to deal with parents who are unhappy on the day. They can affect the photos and video clips that will be taken simply because their actions can affect your mood as well. Worse, they might say something negative during their speeches.</p><p>So best thing to do? Compromise. Say yes to suggestions you can live with and ask them to accept some of your plans as well. That way, no resentment builds, and no problem on the day. Do this compromise early on so you won’t feel trapped as well when they tell you they already invited several friends or they already asked some individuals to be godparents. Obviously it would be difficult to uninvite people. Avoid letting the situation get to that point. </p><p>Most parents have so much love for their children. Hence, a lot are willing to compromise. So try them first. Don't make hiding your wedding plans your first option especially if your whole lives your parents have been nothing but supportive of your dreams and aspirations. </p><p>{need a planner or an emcee, message me via darlenetansalazar@icloud.com}</p>Perfect 10 Weddingshttp://www.blogger.com/profile/09383391520376725464noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5037635780211268008.post-3220262403749640702021-08-09T09:20:00.001+08:002021-08-09T09:20:08.239+08:00Should I go for sit-down or buffet service? <p>As a wedding planner and emcee, I have seen my share of sit-down, buffet, and lauriat services. </p><p>Buffet service is a popular choice because the couple and/or their parents feel that their guests would really feel satisfied because they can get as much as they desire. </p><p>Sit-down service is often frowned upon because people think that this one would not satisfy hunger. </p><p>However, based on experience, sit-down service should not be dismissed right away. </p><p>Why?</p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEglXDEOdwSzNO5wylLyu6B_3smzg9EJfHJpplr5FyNz4Hz5j6NrgUyJaKSucZbc-40P51RvFjvpjZHUxm9d1nDAHeW5Ty1BWW_qZrM00sg5Z7DO5NMHwMdVkoJbJ6H7kDtw2CdLxhY_tqU/s1401/743F683C-49AA-4CEF-9731-9D277E5510DD.png" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1401" data-original-width="1401" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEglXDEOdwSzNO5wylLyu6B_3smzg9EJfHJpplr5FyNz4Hz5j6NrgUyJaKSucZbc-40P51RvFjvpjZHUxm9d1nDAHeW5Ty1BWW_qZrM00sg5Z7DO5NMHwMdVkoJbJ6H7kDtw2CdLxhY_tqU/s320/743F683C-49AA-4CEF-9731-9D277E5510DD.png" width="320" /></a></div><p>1) because it’s safer, given the current situation with covid (No matter the reminders, some still go to the buffet without masks, and some buffet service providers don’t have people to manage so guests end up holding the serving spoon or even talking over the food. 😭)</p><p>2) because if the courses include an appetizer, soup, salad, first entree, sorbet, main course, and dessert, people really do feel full (This refers to actual sit-down service not the hybrid we have here which has lots of stuff on one plate — sauces mixing together, and looking a bit less appetizing.) </p><p>It can be a bit tedious though because often sit-down service menus have beef as main course, perhaps, because it is touted to be more filling. But we all know not everyone eats beef. So during RSVP time, guests need to be asked if they have food concerns — some only eat fish, some only eat vegetables, some have allergies, etc. </p><p>It’s also a bit more expensive given the number of people in the kitchen plating food and the number of servers involved. But this doesn’t come into play much since there are usually 50 or fewer in the guest list, so spending a little more for food and for safety, doesn’t cause as a major as a dent in the budget as a wedding of 150 or more guests. </p><p>Oh and don’t dismiss tasting type menus because the number of items and the bursts of flavor per item can really fill the stomach. Plus you’re giving your guests an experience far different from what they would normally have at weddings. </p><p>I think the most major plus of a sit-down service choice is that of lessening eat and run guests. They won’t leave since they still need to wait for their food to be served. Haha! Kidding aside though, it does help in keeping guests seated and focused on the reception. (Also, since intimate weddings are in vogue, you can avoid inviting those who are known to eat and run. Send them food and make them watch via your live stream. That way, they can have both their goals — eating good food and staying home.) </p><p>{if you’re on the lookout for a planner or an emcee, e-mail me via darlenetansalazar@icloud.com} </p><p>#theweddingtipsheet #darlenetansalazar #weddingcoordinator #weddingemcee</p>Perfect 10 Weddingshttp://www.blogger.com/profile/09383391520376725464noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5037635780211268008.post-90222289634657947942021-07-08T09:22:00.001+08:002021-07-08T09:22:24.286+08:00Preventing Your Wedding from Turning into a Series of Unfortunate Events<p>People take time to plan their wedding details because they want things to come out the way they envisioned. But guess what, plans don’t always happen the way they should. Then things can quickly escalate and make your wedding A SERIES OF UNFORTUNATE EVENTS. </p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh0I1GPbHAjncFakYydr6ULSZE-3OtGdGrAwIMPY3mxBplC9a3HJXZ3dGlp5GXPpyYdR_NyvvCnDnz_B5nX4SgN8GfyZhx641s6YgwG4zYX1dH2lMDO9EiRJ_H05xsM_bsSQl1zJsVwK-I/s1080/998F7E18-E7F3-4182-A8C6-1504379AB246.png" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1080" data-original-width="1080" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh0I1GPbHAjncFakYydr6ULSZE-3OtGdGrAwIMPY3mxBplC9a3HJXZ3dGlp5GXPpyYdR_NyvvCnDnz_B5nX4SgN8GfyZhx641s6YgwG4zYX1dH2lMDO9EiRJ_H05xsM_bsSQl1zJsVwK-I/s320/998F7E18-E7F3-4182-A8C6-1504379AB246.png" /></a></div><p>How do you prevent that from happening? </p><p>1) remove your mindset that the coordinator you will hire is a helper — someone who will make your plans happen. Because you don’t need a helper, you need someone who thinks quickly! This person should analyze your plans and tell you what’s wrong with them based on his or her experiences. This person should know how to troubleshoot as quickly as possible. </p><p>2) put together a team of suppliers who will care enough to speak up and suggest when things are going wrong — this one you can ensure by researching about their good work and if they have already worked with each other. </p><p>We are Filipinos. We like to say “dapat ganito, dapat ganyan” on social media, but we rarely confront or speak up when things are going wrong for fear of being branded as “epal”. Stick na lang sa job description para walang blame later on. But if we all know each other in the team, it will be easier to air out suggestions and help because there is less fear of rejection or judgement. </p><p>3) talk to your entourage and your parents — they should not be the first individuals who would cause problems in the timeline because they don’t want to wake up on time for make up, dress up when needed, or listen to instructions. When you have such attitude among your family and friends, you bet things will not happen as planned unless you have a coordinator who knows how to speak firmly but politely. </p><p>Let’s prevent your wedding from turning into a series of unfortunate events. I know you’re in a hurry to meet up with your prospect. Online platforms make meetings easier to schedule at everyone’s convenience. You’d like to book him or her right away, but you also want to make sure you won’t be scammed. </span></div><p></p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjUiesXkDjSYQL0C23knuJ0-jzdG6_o0E7FRTEKP0Oo3SYlu_6WP9xVB_50E9Jrcf6eHQvVkBLzrzcXvFezBmPjiv9ZJcttasjgZledDeNqnRv0AfgjULFVB3R8mLSZV0ea53AxS-ujP4Y/s1080/31FF5675-2CCE-43C0-B2E0-3634FA96F360.png" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1080" data-original-width="1080" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjUiesXkDjSYQL0C23knuJ0-jzdG6_o0E7FRTEKP0Oo3SYlu_6WP9xVB_50E9Jrcf6eHQvVkBLzrzcXvFezBmPjiv9ZJcttasjgZledDeNqnRv0AfgjULFVB3R8mLSZV0ea53AxS-ujP4Y/s320/31FF5675-2CCE-43C0-B2E0-3634FA96F360.png" /></a></div><br /><p>Prior to the meeting: research about the supplier, check his or her online profile, gather independent feedback about him or her through groups like weddings at work or randomly message a bride or groom whose feedback is posted in the supplier’s site </p><p>During the meeting: </p><p>1. Ask the supplier for 3 words he or she can use to describe himself or herself. These will give you insight into what he or she values. This will also help you see if you can relate to each other. </p><p>2. Ask the supplier about what makes his or her package unique. This will show you the motivation behind the creation of the package. Is it purely money? Did the supplier just copy someone else’s package? </p><p>3. Ask the supplier about cancellation and date movement policies, also out of town or transport fees. Most likely it’s a no refund of reservation fee policy but asking helps you gauge transparency and honesty. Will he or she beat around the bush and give a vague response so you will book? Will he or she be straightforward? </p><p>4. Ask the supplier about what to expect after booking. This should be very clear to you so that you won’t wonder why the supplier didn’t message you anymore after making the sale. The supplier can also show you the timeline after booking. If the supplier gets tongue tied, he or she may not be sure of what to do after making the sale. </p><p>5. Ask the supplier if you can read the contract before booking. This is important because you should know what you’re getting into. It should not be reservation fee first before contract signing. </p><p>Bonus: ask the supplier about difficult wedding experiences and what he or she did to help or how he or she dealt with it. </p><p>Now, you can set that meeting. You’re ready. </p><p>——</p><p>In need of an emcee or a coordinator, send me a message via darlenetansalazar@icloud.com. </p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi8HEVa9z4H5KANVRvXCPRHoX5h74_Is5yKfgIPHbi5wuAfV748HOT9HnJG71Updj2JBTtnH3UcaB2UXQNi3q57Apps4HZHR5zk9YSRxlD1vKfPvzrzCuv9PSa9lb5thF47dljPdflISiA/s1080/EC7B499C-DF5B-4D47-9D5C-36ACE3D8C1BA.png" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1080" data-original-width="1080" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi8HEVa9z4H5KANVRvXCPRHoX5h74_Is5yKfgIPHbi5wuAfV748HOT9HnJG71Updj2JBTtnH3UcaB2UXQNi3q57Apps4HZHR5zk9YSRxlD1vKfPvzrzCuv9PSa9lb5thF47dljPdflISiA/s320/EC7B499C-DF5B-4D47-9D5C-36ACE3D8C1BA.png" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">Note: this was an all-white wedding :) </div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiWQNh5BRhgoOTrWYA3BpLtYY8dmO7Symy2JBc7TJMkDe8WHN-ke8kdapj0bPW3AyUyr8Q2tFnPpT-IW0M5OS8D-QZHU3_pPwgN7MmfI30moh6Nhfx1ZO1cKSlCSm4kxx-hhwkScfLSJTk/s1080/74CAF3CB-4EDF-4817-AE19-320AAB24248D.png" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1080" data-original-width="1080" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiWQNh5BRhgoOTrWYA3BpLtYY8dmO7Symy2JBc7TJMkDe8WHN-ke8kdapj0bPW3AyUyr8Q2tFnPpT-IW0M5OS8D-QZHU3_pPwgN7MmfI30moh6Nhfx1ZO1cKSlCSm4kxx-hhwkScfLSJTk/s320/74CAF3CB-4EDF-4817-AE19-320AAB24248D.png" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">Note: attire request for emceeing was beige :)</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br /></div>Perfect 10 Weddingshttp://www.blogger.com/profile/09383391520376725464noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5037635780211268008.post-58247581039930806982021-05-07T09:03:00.004+08:002021-05-07T10:05:13.484+08:00Gallery by Chele, A Great Intimate Wedding Venue<p style="text-align: justify;"></p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><span style="text-align: justify;">What makes Gallery by Chele a great intimate wedding venue? Below is the menu card of one of their tasting menus. The collage has some of the food items served. Yup, there are 9 items there are there are still others we were able to taste that aren’t in the collage. </p><p>The kare kare in one bite was surprising. It came to us looking like balls on top of a bowl with pebbles. It also had a bagoong mayo dip which complimented the beef inside the ball & made the taste different yet still one that I could relate to — because of course, who eats kare kare without bagoong, right? </p><p>The salad is memorable and perfect for al fresco dining. It had a pineapple dressing which was so refreshing. </p><p>During the appetizer/bites part of the service, we had 2 seafood items — Uni crisp and the ube taco — then they served this yogurt with berries, honey, and other great stuff. It served to cleanse the palate and prepare for the next onslaught of savory items including the unique takoyaki and the chori burger which I would want 10 of. Haha! </p><p>The mains were octopus that was made with inasal chicken marinade — so it’s something that’s not common yet common as well. The iberico with bokchoy and the tenderloin with swamp cabbage were filling but not enough to make you feel bad and stuffed.</p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgZgAA4fAGXwxxBFamnGHp_rinDtdxDWmhoJq929wR6ABzreUGh19wrDUgsN0TSkVF9jn69R9zjHxnh7kFSobxiipQKi8JRfgiTr7zBwYMqTPv_0vXtP7-SvWSWZ3MrLr0JcVKtmMyaFNk/s2048/5708DC5C-BDA5-4966-B864-976E5C4D8912.jpeg" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="2048" data-original-width="1536" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgZgAA4fAGXwxxBFamnGHp_rinDtdxDWmhoJq929wR6ABzreUGh19wrDUgsN0TSkVF9jn69R9zjHxnh7kFSobxiipQKi8JRfgiTr7zBwYMqTPv_0vXtP7-SvWSWZ3MrLr0JcVKtmMyaFNk/s320/5708DC5C-BDA5-4966-B864-976E5C4D8912.jpeg" /></a></div><br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjCCjl2BhAM7B70-uZBEUQ-or3So3Ptt2KazQuY-fuS4yn75vc5-LR63t899znHZ3x_VeZkLhIR35bEk57FImRgq0kcgrGSsDX3TltNQpna_XHCxKioG9hfr07D7csSmui4BmPBSQLGdXA/s2048/B11BB969-3349-46C1-A011-192272FF261A.jpeg" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="2048" data-original-width="2048" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjCCjl2BhAM7B70-uZBEUQ-or3So3Ptt2KazQuY-fuS4yn75vc5-LR63t899znHZ3x_VeZkLhIR35bEk57FImRgq0kcgrGSsDX3TltNQpna_XHCxKioG9hfr07D7csSmui4BmPBSQLGdXA/s320/B11BB969-3349-46C1-A011-192272FF261A.jpeg" /></a></div><div><br /></div>Midway, we had this great charcuterie board. In fact, prior to the wedding, I would advise grooms to go to the mall and fit barongs (2 different collars) and suits, so they can assess which one matches their body structure and skin tone. Then they can confidently book a supplier for their desired attire (suit, tux, or suit barong), and they can also designate what everyone else in the entourage should wear. </p><p style="text-align: justify;">Days leading up to the wedding, the groom should complete his details for the shoot during preps of the wedding day. </p><p style="text-align: justify;">Here are the usual details. Please note that boutonnieres are for suits and tuxedoes. A barong should not have a boutonniere. In case the coordinator doesn’t know where to pin, pls remember it should be on your lapel, not the pocket. </p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEibGOP5cxfySZZPut4krb4u0gb6TIpXVjmi7RliFyLN3A9UYcijzVDoTKjeuznyIlnNskWF7u-u0vR2lNicOV7ylO-ZMt4v43cdMEgdfsxzVKftUTf3fvO8nhQQgRrYMskg0M05GM5n4b4/s1204/97BB9466-986C-444E-96B2-DBBB686B8B24.jpeg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1046" data-original-width="1204" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEibGOP5cxfySZZPut4krb4u0gb6TIpXVjmi7RliFyLN3A9UYcijzVDoTKjeuznyIlnNskWF7u-u0vR2lNicOV7ylO-ZMt4v43cdMEgdfsxzVKftUTf3fvO8nhQQgRrYMskg0M05GM5n4b4/s320/97BB9466-986C-444E-96B2-DBBB686B8B24.jpeg" width="320" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;">There you go, you’re all set. But those did not stop them from having a really heartfelt and fun wedding day a few months ago. Check out the photos of Myio Okamoto Photography (grabbed the one below from him, too).</p><p>To date, I think theirs was the wedding with the most participation from zoom guests — at least among those I emceed. </p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjeJDWOOtR73XRjy7D3cUZas6x1r2yHSxps1qrup6F3KBnIfcDp27QgayqY400S4T7ChfutmOdjZMx8bHWj-r4xPsPwx9UM_rhGwYlCP4_RGLg6Ku2Q7tj2wFDZXqS5Q9Wy9J9D-vkz7cY/s1080/5104D848-297C-4113-B609-C061924A4343.png" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1080" data-original-width="1080" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjeJDWOOtR73XRjy7D3cUZas6x1r2yHSxps1qrup6F3KBnIfcDp27QgayqY400S4T7ChfutmOdjZMx8bHWj-r4xPsPwx9UM_rhGwYlCP4_RGLg6Ku2Q7tj2wFDZXqS5Q9Wy9J9D-vkz7cY/s320/5104D848-297C-4113-B609-C061924A4343.png" /></a></div><br /><p><br /></p><p>How did they do it? </p><p>1. They delegated. The maid of honor couldn’t make it, so she was in charge of managing things remotely. She was the one handling our live + virtual trivia game, too. Oh and she also gave a message via zoom. </p><p>2. The best man was also helping to manage things virtually. They had a padlet for guests to leave messages and they had virtual games so they could be kept busy while the bride and groom had their post nup. </p><p>3. They sent food to their guests so these guests could celebrate with them. </p><p>4. Because they had a lot of virtual guests, the maid of honor and best man set up rooms via zoom so group pictures could be more intimate. It simulated the usual group photos done during meal time since only those who knew each other were in the rooms for photos. </p><p>5. The couple had time to interact with virtual guests per room because it was sit down service with several courses for the guests who were physically present, so they had to wait for each course to be served. And yes, they were not a huge number. All were close to the couple so even if our reception length was a bit long, no one left. </p><p><br /></p><p>Personally, it also helped that: </p><p>1. The connection was stable. Live streaming service for this day was handled by Hello & Co. Cinema — also their videographer that day. They had a separate team for it. Hilton Manila has a good location with stable signal. </p><p>2. They had a great big screen that was vivid so we could really see the guests and how they were reacting. Their LED wall was from Metrotech Projector. </p><p>3. We had good sound & lighting support from Nine2one Pro Lights and Sounds. No song out of place. All of the virtual guests who were asked to speak were heard properly. </p><p>4. The coord team made sure things would be seamless. Good job Kiss The Girl Events. </p><p>5. We spent time planning every detail of the program. Love that Ed and Cha kept me (their emcee) in the loop the whole time. Let the dog smell you — it’s the way the dog gets to know you. If you are too scared to have this happen, then perhaps, a shoot with dogs is not for you. Photo below shows Kyuubi, my favorite among the dogs of Dog Coach Francis & Irene. This was after I emceed their reception program. </p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh8eqJfd8MoOc1QGa6t4tHVwlcUhkXkBc9tnCwi0kfrWWc-e1fB9fJDS61JXS9LTf8BUWASYxC8dCd9jczdQTjs-ULJ2A9GMAR0Tc6PEgo6O0X8TD_lXmWFSg76B_mHiZgyi3cWCnKGWB0/s2048/CA2E9E24-A200-4446-B4C6-43D843F93E53.jpeg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="2048" data-original-width="1536" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh8eqJfd8MoOc1QGa6t4tHVwlcUhkXkBc9tnCwi0kfrWWc-e1fB9fJDS61JXS9LTf8BUWASYxC8dCd9jczdQTjs-ULJ2A9GMAR0Tc6PEgo6O0X8TD_lXmWFSg76B_mHiZgyi3cWCnKGWB0/s320/CA2E9E24-A200-4446-B4C6-43D843F93E53.jpeg" /></a></div><p>2. Let the cat come to you. Cats have their own way of dealing with strangers. Definitely though even with their owners, they don’t want to be stroked one too many times or touched when they don’t feel like it. (This is my H & he doesn’t like strangers. Enola, our puspin, doesn’t like being touched but he will rub on his own accord.) </p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjZ5KotsZPPvq8XfZnanCxvSoQRG9CKTQmcGM7WFl4pZ9KTy9c9mjo6KXqx_Ge7gzROM8A01vbVT8RAHCttYhIbdWAQ5G0iYqK0UzPnzLBaHG5opVZoMLhuRhuqDc8a7gq3nnTPnfapM-4/s2048/22CAD00D-F75A-4BBD-931F-F7D91AB9EEF2.jpeg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="2048" data-original-width="1536" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjZ5KotsZPPvq8XfZnanCxvSoQRG9CKTQmcGM7WFl4pZ9KTy9c9mjo6KXqx_Ge7gzROM8A01vbVT8RAHCttYhIbdWAQ5G0iYqK0UzPnzLBaHG5opVZoMLhuRhuqDc8a7gq3nnTPnfapM-4/s320/22CAD00D-F75A-4BBD-931F-F7D91AB9EEF2.jpeg" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi9NA0Wf_J2ta8cN-vy-0n1SiJQq2pg8mytPG2L42-n_9BMFYlnFQsgEvK0UjMdpYCim4uEhclNfdMfFoqolgd5Hb9RxYDv7TzihEeG4TEY8kN-cAmRsltBsMFDgEyxm297Di-U-JqSVwo/s2048/E4718275-0924-4A49-93C2-A1B0DFC17A0C.jpeg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em; text-align: center;"><img border="0" data-original-height="2048" data-original-width="1536" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi9NA0Wf_J2ta8cN-vy-0n1SiJQq2pg8mytPG2L42-n_9BMFYlnFQsgEvK0UjMdpYCim4uEhclNfdMfFoqolgd5Hb9RxYDv7TzihEeG4TEY8kN-cAmRsltBsMFDgEyxm297Di-U-JqSVwo/s320/E4718275-0924-4A49-93C2-A1B0DFC17A0C.jpeg" /> </a></div><p>3. Be ready to take candids. These dogs and cats have their own ways of posing. You have to be ready at all times. This is my Kendra. Got this photo as a screenshot of our video together because I couldn’t get her to pose long enough to take a selfie. Below is JJ who suddenly came over carrying a coconut. If dealing with a German Shepherd mom or dad, do not approach or get too close while holding something that the dog could mistake as a weapon. Do not touch the furmom or furdad as well. <p style="color: #454545; font-stretch: normal; line-height: normal; margin: 0px;"><span style="font-family: arial;">This time we interviewed a photographer & prenup venue owner who has both a cat and a dog. Woot woot! He is Mr. Marco Constantino. Photo below shows a prenup with both of his pets.</span></p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><span style="font-family: arial;"><br /></span></div><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhelJIeuqBf4-eO1EeAVrW-8l_WaBZDTLvSqT6pP7ZHc6PjQlzWIv_Wtgc0Zd2tlRsZEO19CkIrYLJiAC8iFi797jZcuIqKV35Zp8FBz1vpaT7Wlsq2m9UYrTXv7mO2PBTcvoOr6lNtxoo/" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><span style="font-family: arial;"><img alt="" data-original-height="1365" data-original-width="2048" height="213" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhelJIeuqBf4-eO1EeAVrW-8l_WaBZDTLvSqT6pP7ZHc6PjQlzWIv_Wtgc0Zd2tlRsZEO19CkIrYLJiAC8iFi797jZcuIqKV35Zp8FBz1vpaT7Wlsq2m9UYrTXv7mO2PBTcvoOr6lNtxoo/" width="320" /></span></a></div><p></p><p style="color: #454545; font-stretch: normal; line-height: normal; margin: 0px;"><span style="font-family: arial;"><br /></span></p><p style="color: #454545; font-stretch: normal; line-height: normal; margin: 0px;"><span style="font-family: arial;"><br /></span></p>
<p style="color: #454545; font-stretch: normal; line-height: normal; margin: 0px; min-height: 14px;"><span style="font-family: arial;"><br /></span></p>
<p style="color: #454545; font-stretch: normal; line-height: normal; margin: 0px;"><span style="font-family: arial;">First question I asked Marco revolved around why he has both. (Side note: I have 10 dogs, 2 indoor cats, and 4 outdoor cats.)</span></p>
<p style="color: #454545; font-stretch: normal; line-height: normal; margin: 0px; min-height: 14px;"><span style="font-family: arial;"><br /></span></p>
<p style="color: #454545; font-stretch: normal; line-height: normal; margin: 0px;"><span style="font-family: arial;">Marco’s response: “It reflects daw sa character ng may-ari if cat or dog owner siya, it doesn’t matter naman... Cats and dogs have different ways of communicating their love and of being willing to receiving affection. </span></p><p style="color: #454545; font-stretch: normal; line-height: normal; margin: 0px;"><span style="font-family: arial;"><br /></span></p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgNWnd8H8a-EuPW56AMj8F_20wg3kXvkaTyr3fyVdvNAbEqmHc6XomgnGKG1oqN54VMSWQbap1OnlzG1In02DXWnqh2PZ4423E64RUkkJbydJaobnwT77cjgG7yODK66si4ThrdolaF9UA/" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em; text-align: center;"><span style="font-family: arial;"><img alt="" data-original-height="1365" data-original-width="2048" height="213" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgNWnd8H8a-EuPW56AMj8F_20wg3kXvkaTyr3fyVdvNAbEqmHc6XomgnGKG1oqN54VMSWQbap1OnlzG1In02DXWnqh2PZ4423E64RUkkJbydJaobnwT77cjgG7yODK66si4ThrdolaF9UA/" width="320" /></span></a></div><p style="color: #454545; font-stretch: normal; line-height: normal; margin: 0px;"></p>

<p style="color: #454545; font-stretch: normal; line-height: normal; margin: 0px;"><span style="font-family: arial;">So how do you deal with cats and dogs during prenups? </span></p>
<p style="color: #454545; font-stretch: normal; line-height: normal; margin: 0px; min-height: 14px;"><span style="font-family: arial;"><br /></span></p>
<p style="color: #454545; font-stretch: normal; line-height: normal; margin: 0px;"><span style="font-family: arial;">Marco: Most cats, hindi madaling magtiwala. Dogs naman, may mga mas friendly. <p style="color: #454545; font-stretch: normal; line-height: normal; margin: 0px; min-height: 14px;"><span style="font-family: arial;"><br /></span></p>
<p style="color: #454545; font-stretch: normal; line-height: normal; margin: 0px;"><span style="font-family: arial;">You have your own cat and dog and they live in Casa Foliage with you. Do they join other couples during prenups? </span></p>
<p style="color: #454545; font-stretch: normal; line-height: normal; margin: 0px; min-height: 14px;"><span style="font-family: arial;"><br /></span></p>
<p style="color: #454545; font-stretch: normal; line-height: normal; margin: 0px;"><span style="font-family: arial;">Marco: They welcome couples and other photographers during prenups. (For safety purposes though, Marco has a place for them beyond the prenup area of Casa Foliage. And yes, I asked, you may bring your pet if you’re having your prenup there. Do inform Marco ahead of time though. <p style="color: #454545; font-stretch: normal; line-height: normal; margin: 0px;"><span style="font-family: arial;">What tips can you give those who want to include their pets in their prenups or wedding shoots? </span></p>
<ol>
<li style="color: #454545; font-stretch: normal; line-height: normal; margin: 0px;"><span style="font-family: arial;">There should be a handler who can take care of the pets when the owners are having their shoot. </span></li>
<li style="color: #454545; font-stretch: normal; line-height: normal; margin: 0px;"><span style="font-family: arial;">Bring treats, water, and toys. <br /></span><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj5nd3pUobqiNEKDEEHKJ53sHI-G8hiJUobbWYiFtwr_7_a0VLWHyi_xy1YkBMgzUHvs44R9lsaw-1NUlldQGXqG_R2I7_sn4N5EBN4rNkGmRb7jl-l5HvC3_n7WMk8c5uJmJ3LXcNNQ_0/" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><span style="font-family: arial;"><img alt="" data-original-height="1365" data-original-width="2048" height="213" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj5nd3pUobqiNEKDEEHKJ53sHI-G8hiJUobbWYiFtwr_7_a0VLWHyi_xy1YkBMgzUHvs44R9lsaw-1NUlldQGXqG_R2I7_sn4N5EBN4rNkGmRb7jl-l5HvC3_n7WMk8c5uJmJ3LXcNNQ_0/" width="320" /></span></a></div><span style="font-family: arial;"><br /></span></li>
<li style="color: #454545; font-stretch: normal; line-height: normal; margin: 0px;"><span style="font-family: arial;">Have diapers on hand to avoid accidents. (Additional note: bring poop bags & wipes as well)</span></li>
<li style="color: #454545; font-stretch: normal; line-height: normal; margin: 0px;"><span style="font-family: arial;">Include them in one part of the prenup (one look) then let them rest. </span><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhXjR_cekWQQBBx7Rf0XqzMx7-ZJ7X1HgsAjcSAaZoM-HWgMuP408D5cL0D4TI2clZCP1uGn7pUWKzi4AJuAfKostBDcrutEbkJIbJJ3TV0Ku-KLH6tZonv__3vz-_JQPB4aAzQGrgUnYc/" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><span style="font-family: arial;"><img alt="" data-original-height="1365" data-original-width="2048" height="213" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhXjR_cekWQQBBx7Rf0XqzMx7-ZJ7X1HgsAjcSAaZoM-HWgMuP408D5cL0D4TI2clZCP1uGn7pUWKzi4AJuAfKostBDcrutEbkJIbJJ3TV0Ku-KLH6tZonv__3vz-_JQPB4aAzQGrgUnYc/" width="320" /></span></a></div></li>
<li style="color: #454545; font-stretch: normal; line-height: normal; margin: 0px;"><span style="font-family: arial;">If you are including your pet, your pet must be ok with people so it doesn’t accidentally scratch you because it is spooked out by the number of people in the shoot. <br /></span></li>
<li style="color: #454545; font-stretch: normal; line-height: normal; margin: 0px;"><span style="font-family: arial;">Bring a lint roller. (Additional note: the one I got in SNR recently — in the pet section — seems to be better than all others I have tried. Yes, I really chose the photo with a husky for this tip. Husky owners would know. Well, cat owners, too.</span><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhQwYGjX2yRGvnjz3Sq_MLeMj09Z4Ygz_H_948a8YVKlGoB5Th2JmGy460To2aAG_YXEkMKaAJhNkT50sM1lX205seeUzqjI0Mi_oj6t8sx2w6Cz28viWPJ1gNh15myOdlNST3TGuuLTZA/" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><span style="font-family: arial;"><img alt="" data-original-height="2048" data-original-width="1365" height="240" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhQwYGjX2yRGvnjz3Sq_MLeMj09Z4Ygz_H_948a8YVKlGoB5Th2JmGy460To2aAG_YXEkMKaAJhNkT50sM1lX205seeUzqjI0Mi_oj6t8sx2w6Cz28viWPJ1gNh15myOdlNST3TGuuLTZA/" width="160" /></span></a></div></li>
<li style="color: #454545; font-stretch: normal; line-height: normal; margin: 0px;"><span style="font-family: arial;">Send your pegs so the shoot can be discussed and things can be considered realistically. Example: a dog without training may not be able to do the poses you will see on Pinterest. </span></li>
<li style="color: #454545; font-stretch: normal; line-height: normal; margin: 0px;"><span style="font-family: arial;">Train your dog or cat prior to the shoot. (Marco gives pointers because he also studied how to handle cats and dogs.) </span></li>
<li style="color: #454545; font-stretch: normal; line-height: normal; margin: 0px;"><span style="font-family: arial;">Animals can sense if the humans in front of them like them or not. So good idea to get suppliers who are animal lovers, too. </span></li></ol><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEit5WAaIeXgJagG-EotanVs1oVuSla47kVClZ-DSBF8IJ7_a5W_S6ExIa_wxPrO67g8kBsVJYgY6gt68qF8HcsaHW22WfQ_Xhdcc7MScPkVq9LDpMR2-p_Ih3YxSL9QYXTgQtVNRT7uWfk/" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em; text-align: center;"><span style="font-family: arial;"><img alt="" data-original-height="2048" data-original-width="1365" height="240" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEit5WAaIeXgJagG-EotanVs1oVuSla47kVClZ-DSBF8IJ7_a5W_S6ExIa_wxPrO67g8kBsVJYgY6gt68qF8HcsaHW22WfQ_Xhdcc7MScPkVq9LDpMR2-p_Ih3YxSL9QYXTgQtVNRT7uWfk/" width="160" /></span></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><span style="font-family: arial;"><br /></span></div><div></div>

One of these 2 dogs actually decided to lay down so Cay saw the opportunity for a flat lay. (I saw how TBP greeted the dogs of Aciel & Tof and played with them so even before the shoot, the dogs got to know them already. Also, dogs can sense if the persons around them like them or are scared of them. So if your suppliers like dogs, then it would also help to make the atmosphere good enough for dogs to be calm as well.) </li></ul><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg2AAJidwmFcjQcrBSpKXEdgQLdG-1EeecQN6wag_lhaJx4wxdQdgJbKhgFsIaTbu16MEk-XN8rGGaU6Um1rrVg9exb7x9ovxuioOAWvdJ9oavt_lAruOroPLv2W9lg74l1P4U4bcJqu70/s2048/7B4E1DE6-41B5-485B-9B9A-456324C85BAB.jpeg" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1365" data-original-width="2048" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg2AAJidwmFcjQcrBSpKXEdgQLdG-1EeecQN6wag_lhaJx4wxdQdgJbKhgFsIaTbu16MEk-XN8rGGaU6Um1rrVg9exb7x9ovxuioOAWvdJ9oavt_lAruOroPLv2W9lg74l1P4U4bcJqu70/s320/7B4E1DE6-41B5-485B-9B9A-456324C85BAB.jpeg" width="320" /></a></div><br /><div><br /></div></span><p class="p2" style="-webkit-text-size-adjust: auto; font-size: 17px; font-stretch: normal; line-height: normal; margin: 0px; min-height: 20.3px;">{Cay, their team lead, has a pug named Chulo. – I wanted a stress-free, near perfect wedding. That was in 2009. I attended
the Christmas Party along with my then fiancé, Emman, and even told Atty.
Fortun outside Blue Leaf that I felt he would be declared Supplier of the Year.
We entered and after just a minute, the video played and declared him SOTY of
2009. </div>
<div class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify;">
In 2010, I was given the privilege of being part of the Top
10 roster. It was surreal since we had just started 6 months prior – no formal training,
just a lot of wisdom and knowledge gained from being a W@Wie, and an overflow
of devotion and passion which caused us to give 101% of ourselves to every
wedding. </div>
<div class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify;">
In 2012, I thought it best to give up coordinating so I
could spend more time with my family, but I couldn’t fully leave the industry.
I had already fallen in love with it and I knew I could still help couples even
as an emcee. (And yes, I am aware that emceeing is still not enough if I really
wanted to help, that’s why I also started the Wedding Tip Sheet on Facebook.)</div>
<div class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify;">
That decision to focus on emceeing started me on a
three-year sojourn in the Weddings at Work Top 10 roster – 2013, 2014, and
2015. It was enough for me that my efforts were recognized. It was already an
icing on the cake that I joined the Top 5 in 2014. I was not prepared for the
2015 SOTY Award. </div>
<div class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify;">
But the W@Wies have spoken… and I ended up on the platform
with the emcees of the night, Bong Sare and Jason Magbanua. As Mimma Benz
handed me the trophy, the words I wanted to say as I was walking towards the
programme area vanished. </div>
<div class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify;">
Allow me to come up with something more structured… my own
version of a TOP 10 List. </div>
<div class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="text-indent: -18pt;"><span style="font-family: "times new roman"; font-size: 7pt; line-height: normal;"><br /></span></span></div>
<div class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify; text-indent: 0px;">

happy field. I know I didn’t end up here by accident.</span></div>

<span style="text-indent: -18pt;">2. They say children speak the language of their
mothers. That happens because their mothers are supposedly the ones staying
with them the most. Since my mom gave up on having a career and stayed with me
and my brother the whole time, definitely, we speak her language. Thank you,
Mama, for all your efforts. I know even now, you’re with me every single time I
stand up in front of a crowd. </span></div>
<div class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom: 0.0001pt; text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom: 0.0001pt; text-align: justify; text-indent: 0px;">
<span style="text-indent: -24px;">3. </span><span style="text-indent: -18pt;">My dad hails from a family of broadcasters. They say talking in front of people (and the camera) runs in the blood.</span><span style="text-indent: -18pt;"> </span><span style="text-indent: -18pt;"> </span><span style="text-indent: -18pt;">(But make no mistake… I still get uncomfortable seeing myself on the screen when the couple gets a live feed set-up. Haha!) Thank you, Daddy, for being supportive – downloading songs for me, converting them, burning CDs, etc.</span><span style="text-indent: -18pt;"> </span></div>
<div class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom: 0.0001pt; text-align: justify; text-indent: 0px;">
<span style="text-indent: -18pt;"><br /></span></div>
<div class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom: 0.0001pt; text-align: justify; text-indent: 0px;">
<span style="text-indent: -18pt;">4. My brother, my cousins, and my friends who
formed part of the team I had as coordinator deserve lots of accolades, too.
They went with me throughout everything – tired feet, hunger, stress. Name it,
they experienced it. Thank you, guys!</span></div>
<div class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom: 0.0001pt; text-align: justify;">
<span style="text-indent: -18pt;"><br /></span></div>
<div class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom: 0.0001pt; text-align: justify; text-indent: 0px;">
<span style="text-indent: -18pt;">5. My niece, Juliana, who despite being annoyed
that Tita is always out especially during peak season, still remains supportive
in her own little ways.</span><span style="text-indent: -18pt;"> </span><span style="text-indent: -18pt;">Thank you,
Yana, and congratulations for your second stint at an international robotics
competition.</span></div>
<div class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom: 0.0001pt; text-align: justify;">
<span style="text-indent: -18pt;"><br /></span></div>
<div class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom: 0.0001pt; text-align: justify; text-indent: 0px;">
<span style="text-indent: -18pt;">6. I want to thank my sister-in-law, Shelly, for
introducing me to W@W when I was still preparing for my wedding. I also want to
thank my in-laws for understanding when I could not join family gatherings due
to previously scheduled weddings.</span></div>
<div class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom: 0.0001pt; text-align: justify; text-indent: 0px;">
<span style="text-indent: -18pt;"><br /></span></div>
<div class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom: 0.0001pt; text-align: justify; text-indent: 0px;">
<span style="text-indent: -18pt;">7. I am immensely thankful to my W@W brides and
grooms who made life easier for me because they gave me their trust and
confidence. You don’t know how much of a relief it is for me to explain less –
not only because I am trying to save my voice, but also because it makes
planning more enjoyable when I don’t have to justify the points I have in my
workbook. This doesn’t mean W@W weddings are easy. Far from it! Usually W@W
weddings are challenging because of the level of detail involved, but it’s
always great to be challenged to innovate and to analyze plans in order to
avoid mishaps. Thank you also to those who recommend me to other brides and
grooms – it is a source of joy to see former couples during receptions.</span></div>
<div class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom: 0.0001pt; text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom: 0.0001pt; text-align: justify;">
Thank you to those who voted and gave
me a chance to be Supplier of the Year for 2015. This truly means a lot, and because it does, it’s back to
the drawing board for me to start innovating again… after all, the W@W culture
is a culture of giving back.</div>

<div class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom: 0.0001pt; text-align: justify; text-indent: 0px;">
<span style="text-indent: -18pt;">8. I am grateful to all my fellow suppliers who
have put in a good word for me, who always recommend me, and who tag me when
they post about their weddings. Thank you also to the suppliers I worked with
as a newbie – I learned so much from them. And yes, I would like to pay tribute
to them in the coming days.</span></div>

<div class="MsoListParagraphCxSpLast" style="margin-bottom: 0.0001pt; text-align: justify;">
Special mention to my FamiliaZ: Tito
Boy, who not only helped me prepare for peak season with great gowns but also
recommends me to his brides; Thoffy and team EBT; Mayone; Gretchen; Kiko; Abi
and Alex; Mimma Benz, and last but not the least, Aisle 1401!!</div>

<div class="MsoListParagraphCxSpLast" style="margin-bottom: 0.0001pt; text-align: justify;">
Great job on the shoot and the
outputs – top 10, top 5, and supplier of the year videos! Your OC-ness with
time paid off – everything was done on time, in fact, with time to spare for
coffee even if it rained in the middle of the shoot. Talk about preparing with
buffer. (Of course, it helped a lot that we had lechon from Tito Boy there and
lots of food we can eat in between our slots – parang preps lang, kain na while
it’s not yet your turn to work.)</div>

The excitement generated by the
editing was exceptional! Congratulations, John, Anna, Drei, and Miko, and thank you for your patience during the shoot :) </div>

<span style="text-indent: -18pt;">9. I am deeply indebted to the founders of Weddings
at Work, Sir Abet and Mimma Benz.</span><span style="text-indent: -18pt;"> </span><span style="text-indent: -18pt;">As
a bride, I know my life was easier because I had the W@W Community to share
with and learn from as I asked questions and read posts. As a supplier, I had
the chance to work with lots of W@W couples who are better prepared for their
big days than those who didn’t join W@W. I also had the chance to meet with
other brides & impart what I know through EBs and the blog.</span></div>
<div class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom: 0.0001pt; text-align: justify;">

<div class="MsoListParagraph" style="margin-bottom: 0.0001pt; text-align: justify;">
As a supplier, some consider me an “ate” of sorts and ask
for advice when they go through difficulties perhaps, because of the tip sheet.
I am truly thankful that I also have an “ate” in Mimma Benz because when I am
at a loss, I know I have someone I can ask for advice, and when I make
mistakes, I know there is also someone who will give me feedback so I can
improve.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span>Thank you, Mimma, for
opening your heart not only to couples but to suppliers as well. </div>
<div class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom: 0.0001pt; text-align: justify;">

Lastly,
I would like to thank my husband, Emman, because I know despite feeling left
out or left behind during weekends, he has remained supportive of me and the
industry I love. He could have asked me to leave already when he saw how
invested I was in terms of time and effort after we had gotten married in 2010,
but he didn’t. He even gave me feedback regarding what I can do to improve. For
the great effort he gives to share my time with my weddings, I am truly
grateful… because it’s not easy to find a job one can truly love and enjoy
coupled with a husband who can support the job even if it is time consuming.</span></div>
<div class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom: 0.0001pt; text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom: 0.0001pt; text-align: justify;">
If you got
to this point after reading everything, and you’re a bride/groom preparing for
your wedding, but you’re not yet a member of Weddings at Work, join now! You
will definitely appreciate the experience of always having like-minded
individuals you can communicate with 24/7 – yup, there are W@Wies all over the
globe.</div>
<div class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom: 0.0001pt; text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom: 0.0001pt; text-align: justify;">
If you’re
not preparing for your wedding anymore and/or you’re a W@Wie already, please
continue the W@W culture of giving back… there are more brides and grooms
coming in and they would greatly benefit from the wisdom you’ve gained from
your W@W experience. </div>
<div class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom: 0.0001pt; text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom: 0.0001pt; text-align: justify;">

“Once a W@Wie, always a W@Wie”. <span style="font-family: "wingdings";">:)</span></div>

A DTS Video! :) As an emcee, I've had my share of requests for video clips. While I do have some, taken a few years ago, I don't really want to send them because I feel the video clips only showcase part of what I can do. A video clip can't encapsulate everything in a few minutes, neither can all the possibilities happen in just one wedding. After all, wedding receptions are pretty unique occasions. Couples like to spend time thinking about the elements that would be part of their programme plans. That's why when I discuss with my couples and even when they diligently read and answer the workbook I give, I present options. There's a basic flow, a formula that works in terms of sequence, but they are not required to follow it to the letter given the nuances of their family traditions, their parents' requests, and the items they thought of including in the timeline.<br />
<div class="post-body entry-content" id="post-body-5407544199224087895" itemprop="description articleBody" style="-webkit-text-stroke-width: 0px; color: #63704b; font-family: Arial, Tahoma, Helvetica, FreeSans, sans-serif; font-size: 13px; font-style: normal; font-variant: normal; font-weight: normal; letter-spacing: normal; line-height: 18px; orphans: auto; position: relative; text-align: start; text-indent: 0px; text-transform: none; white-space: normal; widows: auto; width: 516px; word-spacing: 0px;">
<br />
I never planned on hiring a professional video team to capture footage of a particular wedding. So definitely, the offer of WeCelebrate came as a blessing, so did the positive response of Dave and Anne as I mentioned that the video team would be coming in to capture footage of the programme. Thank you so much, Dave and Anne.<br />
<br />
Knowing how well-mannered and professional the team is, I knew they would find ways to take video clips without affecting the positions of the real photo and video teams of the couple. I also knew I would be in good hands because I've been working with WeCelebrate for some time now, and they haven't disappointed me -- from arriving on time during preps to keeping couples comfortable with the actual shoot, and on to creating memorable SDEs.<br />
<br />
While there are couples who prefer traditional elements and entrance segments, Dave and Anne chose to do fun group introductions given the nature of their parents, godparents, and entourage.<br />
<br />
Trivia number 1: Did you know that the godmothers requested for a different song? They said they wanted something of their era, so they danced to the tune of "Uptown Funk". How cool is that?<br />
<br />
The mother-son dance wasn't your typical waltz either. Mommy and son danced to the tune of a Pitbull song... :)<br />
<br />
Trivia number 2: I needed to stall a bit more. And guess what, the stalling became an absolutely fun part courtesy of the godparents. I actually asked for Anne's permission to change the participants because the members of the VIP were really so participative all throughout, so I chose the godparents to take part in Game 3. We had a 3-hour programme but we ended with almost all of the guests who were there at the beginning.<br />
<br />
Trivia number 3: I do not force this kind of programme on all couples. Yup, couples have a choice as to what kind of programme they wish to have -- some want things loud, some want everything to be subdued and formal. Whatever the choice, I only have one reminder, "Please match the requests with the general personality of the guests. That way, they will be able to relate to the programme and they will stay and finish it with you".<br />

So... this particular post was shared 77 times... I figured, perhaps, friends in the industry as well as couples feel strongly about the message; thus, the number of times it got viewed and the number of shares counted. Given that thought, I believe I ought to share it using my website as well. Here goes... </div>
<div style="color: #141823; font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif; font-size: 14px; line-height: 19px; margin-bottom: 6px;">
--------</div>
<div style="color: #141823; font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif; font-size: 14px; line-height: 19px; margin-bottom: 6px;">
Waaaaaaaaah! Ang ganda ng onsite photo slideshow!!! Naiiyak ako sa sde!!!</div>
<div style="color: #141823; font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif; font-size: 14px; line-height: 19px; margin-bottom: 6px; margin-top: 6px;">
<br /></div>
<div style="color: #141823; font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif; font-size: 14px; line-height: 19px; margin-bottom: 6px; margin-top: 6px;">
I will hire that videographer! </div>
<div style="color: #141823; font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif; font-size: 14px; line-height: 19px; margin-bottom: 6px; margin-top: 6px;">
I will hire that photographer! </div>
<div class="text_exposed_show" style="color: #141823; display: inline; font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif; font-size: 14px; line-height: 19px;">
<div style="margin-bottom: 6px;">
<br /></div>
<div style="margin-bottom: 6px;">
So you think the greatness of the onsite AVPs depend on the photo and video teams alone? </div>
<div style="margin-bottom: 6px; margin-top: 6px;">
<br /></div>
<div style="margin-bottom: 6px; margin-top: 6px;">
Wrong notion! </div>
<div style="margin-bottom: 6px; margin-top: 6px;">
<br /></div>
<div style="margin-bottom: 6px; margin-top: 6px; text-align: justify;">
You, as the bride and groom, need to give your photo and video teams something to work with... </div>
<div style="margin-bottom: 6px; margin-top: 6px; text-align: justify;">
Magaling nga yung shooters, magaling nga yung editors... Eh the whole time one lang expression mo, the whole time galit ka kasi may isang mali sa bouquet mo or hindi dumating yung requested team mo ng photo or video, or may problem yung wedding gown mo or hindi gaanong efficient yung coordinator mo or yung family mo mas bratty kesa sa'yo even if it's your wedding day, or the whole time medyo "dead to the world" ka kasi walang tulog sa kaka-diy or kaka-sundo sa airport at entertain ng mga Balikbayan... Haaaaaay...</div>
<div style="margin-bottom: 6px; margin-top: 6px;">
<br /></div>
<div style="margin-bottom: 6px; margin-top: 6px; text-align: justify;">
A great onsite AVP always starts with a couple out to make great memories... So have fun, tell your parents not to get mad at the teams of photographers and videographers if they are asking for certain poses or movements (within reason of course), bring your Ento into the picture if you are too shy to move in front of the camera -- bottomline, exude joy because it's your big day. Don't be too exacting na may listahan ka na mas mahaba pa sa train mo na kailangan kunan ng p/v team. One lang yung wedding day mo, baka yung list galing sa 10 or more wedding onsites. Hindi realistic yung expectations... </div>
<div style="margin-bottom: 6px; margin-top: 6px;">
<br /></div>
<div style="margin-bottom: 6px; margin-top: 6px; text-align: justify;">
Yung tunay na emosyon ng paghalakhak, pagluha sa tuwa o sa pagka-miss sa isang natatanging tao tumatagos sa lente at sa screen -- diretso sa puso ng mga manunuod. </div>
<div style="margin-bottom: 6px; margin-top: 6px; text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="margin-bottom: 6px; margin-top: 6px; text-align: justify;">
Aww... Ang ganda ng sde ano? </div>
<div style="margin-bottom: 6px; margin-top: 6px; text-align: justify;">

happier xmas promo!<div style="text-align: justify;">
I've been thinking about this bag for ages -- ever since I started doing weddings and seeing how brides and grooms worry about keeping their monetary gift envelopes all throughout the reception. I've had a dad inadvertently leave a tall glass jar full of envelopes; I've seen a mom carry a cage and another mom, a box of monetary envelopes, and I've seen brides straining to stick all envelopes into a tiny bridal bag. </div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
Brides can't be seen lugging something big and bulky all throughout the day. They need something small and dainty -- until they get all the envelopes being handed over by guests. So why not have something that can be converted? Small and dainty at the beginning and bigger yet still coordinated with the wedding gown when needed.<br>
<br>
Good thing Charie Cuisia of BKS Couture decided to lend me a helping hand. She produced the two bags we will be giving away in this promo. I was ecstatic when she decided to undertake the project despite her busy schedule. </div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
The question: Aren't we having second thoughts about giving these bags away? (Honestly, we are... we love them so much! But we know we don't need them as much as those who are getting married in the near future. So we are doing our best to selflessly give them away.)<br>
<br>
Take them off our hands before the month ends... lest we change our minds... :) Yup, that's the reason why we shortened the promo... We are that excited to see our winners smile upon receiving their purses! :) </div>
